Transforming Online Apparel Shopping With AI, Empathy, and Inclusive Design for a Personalized, Confidence-Driven User Experience
U OURS STORE is a futuristic apparel shopping app that merges AI-powered body scanning with a deeply empathetic design approach. The platform helps users visualize fashion on their actual body type—solving the guesswork behind size, fit, and tone. As a Product Designer, I created a seamless experience by focusing on emotional design, visual clarity, and intuitive flows, ensuring that every user felt seen, supported, and stylish throughout their journey. The result? A shopping experience as personal as it is powerful.
Concept & Objective
The concept revolved around leveraging AI and body scan technology to deliver hyper-personalized shopping experiences. The objective was to give users confidence by offering fit-assured dress suggestions, eliminating sizing guesswork and visualizing how outfits would look on their body type. I designed around principles of inclusivity, clarity, and trust—focusing on reducing friction and building a smart yet emotionally engaging fashion journey. By using soft UI, pastel color schemes, and subtle microinteractions, I shaped a product that blended tech with a human touch.

Problems & Challenges
The biggest problem users faced was poor confidence in online size selection and dissatisfaction after receiving misfitting products. Through interviews and competitor audits, we uncovered that unclear sizing, unrealistic previews, and rigid color choices were driving returns and lowering trust. As a designer, my challenge was to make the body scan process feel warm, simple, and non-invasive, while still conveying technical accuracy. Using minimal wireframes, gentle motion design, and guided onboarding, I reduced anxiety around scanning and created a more emotionally intelligent interface.

Design Process
My design process began with qualitative user research, particularly with those who had poor online shopping experiences. I built personas around real frustrations and mapped end-to-end user flows—from onboarding to AI scan, to smart outfit suggestions. Early wireframes used white space, clear icons, and calm typography to reduce visual stress. I applied rounded UI components, pastel tones, and delightful transitions to add personality. Usability testing helped fine-tune the scan UX, and collaboration with AI developers ensured smooth technical integration without losing emotional appeal. Every interaction was crafted to build confidence and reduce uncertainty.
